The Kiwis have been very competitive in their last two tours, and after narrowly losing the previous series 2-3, they were so close to beating India yet again but faltered at the final hurdle. The decider at Kanpur was a match for New Zealand to lose especially when they needed 35 of the last four overs with six wickets remaining.

Meanwhile, a series victory for the Men in Blue will enable Pakistan to climb to the top of the ladder in the Latest ICC T20I Rankings. If the Kiwis win the series by any margin, they will retain their numero uno status while a 3-0 victory will take them 7 points clear of the 2nd ranked team. The team has been in terrific form of late and have won their last seven bilateral series which is the most for an Indian team.
Great fun with the boys at Nueva. 👌🤙

It was Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah who helped India claw their way back from the jaws of defeat in the decider and prevent New Zealand from winning their maiden ODI series in India.
