The upcoming year will be an important one for Team India or the Indian national cricket team in recent years. This time period can make or break India’s reputation as the best Test side and one of the best ODI sides in the world. With series in Australia lined up along with the World Cup in England, the upcoming few months will be a challenging one for Virat Kohli & Co.
The soon-to-end 2018 was seen as the one which could have truly justified India’s top-ranking in Tests and one of the best in ODIs. With series in South Africa, England and Australia lined up, a good performance in these nations would have enhanced the team’s reputation. However, the team has done little so far. They have already lost Tests in South Africa and England. But luckily, India will have the chance to make amends in coming months.

The Men in Blue got back on the track by winning the Asia Cup and are now gearing up for yet another busy and challenging session.
So here we take a look at all the series and assignments lined up for India from October to the next year’s World Cup:
India will be in middle of a crucial Test series when the new year arrives. They will take on Australia in the fourth and final Test in Sydney. Prior to that, India had already played three-match T20I series against the hosts. The long tour will conclude with the third ODI at MCG on January 18.

Following the World Cup, India will fly to the Caribbeans for their opening series in the inaugural World Test Championship (WTC). India will play a two-match Test series against West Indies as part of the WTC. After that, the Men in Blue will play three ODIs and as many T20I against the hosts. The dates for the series have not been announced yet.
Following that India will welcome South Africa and Bangladesh for a three and two-match Test series respectively. The series will take place between October and November. In November, India will also play two T20Is against Bangladesh before hosting West Indies for three ODIs and three T20Is.
