The most successful team in this format has also achieved this milestone on two occasion.
In fact they are the first team to cross the 400-runs mark in ODI cricket when they scored 434 against South Africa in 2006. Ricky Ponting scored 164 while Adam Gilchrist,Simon Katich and Mike Hussey scored fifties. However, the massive score was not enough as the Proteas chased down the total with one ball remaining.
The second one came against Afghanistan in the 2015 cricket World Cup when they scored 417. David Warner scored a century while Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell chipped in with half-centuries.
