MS Dhoni was at his personal best during the 2008-09 and was one of the best finishers in the business. He led the Indian team from the front winning the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007 and then the tri-series in Australia in 2008.

ICC conferred him with the player of the year in 2008 and 2009 for his superb contributions to the game.
