7. First overseas Test series win
Under MS Dhoni’s captaincy, India managed to win a Test series in New Zealand after a gap of 41 long years in 2009. Previously, India had a very poor record in the land of the Kiwis, and this is one achievement he will hold very close to his heart.
The 1-0 series win over New Zealand made way for MS Dhoni & Co to be no 1 Test team in the ICC Rankings.
