Nathan Lyon – With 60 wickets in 10 Tests, Lyon emerged out as highest wicket-taker in the year and has a chance to increase the tally when he steps on the field in the Boxing day Test against England. Lyon bowled his heart out this year and had five five-fors and a 10 wicket haul in the year to show alongside his name.
The best part of the year came for him when dismissed eight Indian batsmen in Bangalore to bowl out the hosts on 189. Though Australia lost the Test as Indian spinners too made most out of the spin friendly track.
