Dimuth Karunaratne – Sri Lanka may not have had best of results in Test format as a team but Dimuth Karunaratne was a standout Test player for the side. The left-handed batsman scored a total of 1031 runs in 13 Test matches at an average of 39.65. His highest score of 196 came against Pakistan in a series where Sri Lanka stunned their opposition by defeating them by 2-0.
In the recent India series, though, Karunaratne had a lean patch as he could just manage one fifty par score in six innings.
