Moeen Ali – The England all-rounder though is struggling in the ongoing Ashes series but prior to that, he was going through a purple patch in his career. He emerged out as best all-rounder in the year with 477 runs and 33 wickets to his name. He would find a spot in any of Test XI of this year due to his form. A performance in Ashes series though could have been a cherry on the cake for him on a personal note.
