The last time when Stuart Binny played an international game was when Hardik Pandya was still a new man in the Indian cricket team and he was not in the side for the two T20I game against Windies, which was played in the USA.
After that series, the fortunes turned and Pandya went on to cement his place in the team and Binny got dropped from the side. A Test call-up further bolstered Pandya’ chances and now he has made a permanent place for him in the team, in all the formats of the game thus leaving no room for anyone.

A fast bowling all-rounder is something which the Indian team has thrived for over the years and it seems like their search for the man for this job has come to an end with Pandya. Before him though, Stuart Binny was tested but he could not produce that short sort of show, which the captain and selectors expected from him. He has now been pushed back to domestic cricket and as of now, there is no room for him in the Indian cricket team. Binny though does not think the same way,
“I haven’t shut doors anywhere, I am just going out to play cricket that I am known for playing. It is easy to sit at home and get upset, but if you look at it, at least there is someone who I can push forward. The more I try to catch him (Hardik Pandya) in however well he is doing, it is only going to improve my game. So, I know for me to make a comeback is to score 1000 runs in the season and to do that I need to prepare well, not worry about selection or who are doing well around the country,” a confident Binny told Wisden India.
The Karnataka all-rounder is still a prospect who can make a comeback. Unavailability of Pandya for few games can also force selectors to call back Binny in case they need a fast bowling all-rounder but Binny has to do wonders in domestic cricket to fulfill his dream.
