1) RUDRA PRATAP SINGH

The Forgotten Heroes Of Indian Cricket 1

Not many get the man of the match award in their debut match and RP Singh is amongst those few. This left-arm pacer made his debut in the National Team in the year 2005 followed by his stupendous spell in U-19 ICC World Cup 2004 and kept showing his potential time and again. He was selected for the 2007 ICC World Cup team and became the second-highest wicket-taker with 12 wickets in 7 matches. He kept on playing for the country till 2011 and was dropped eventually.

The player represented Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji trophies after his national team career got over. He also played in the IPL till 2013 and later remained unsold in the auction. Being dropped from the team even after performing well comes with immense mental set back, and never getting a call back is something a player never expects in his wildest nightmares. These players never got the chance to prove themselves ever again, and some promising careers ended in the lack of opportunities.
