Former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, Parthiv Patel, has stated that he is impressed with the amount of talent young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has. However, he pointed out one key aspect that Pant needs to undertake to return to the Indian team.
Parthiv Patel announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Wednesday as he took to Twitter and hung his boots from world cricket. A lot of cricketers, past and present, congratulated Parthiv on his retirement.

Parthiv Patel Highlights What Rishabh Pant Needs To Do To Get Back In The Indian Team
“Talk about Rishabh Pant, lockdown happened, he put on a little weight. There is no question about his talent. Every time I meet him, I tell him that people are talking about you because you have a lot of talent. Now how do you convert that talent into performance, it is in your hands, it is not in anyone else’s hands. You have to convert talent into runs and good wicket keeping. I am sure he has understood that” Parthiv Patel told Sports Tak.

“My experience says that you are never out of the Indian team’s fray. It is very important for the player to have a belief in himself. Pant will have to show in domestic cricket, by scoring runs and keeping wickets in every match. You have to show that I am ready for international cricket,” Patel added.
The Indian Wicketkeeping Conundrum Has Been Everlasting Since Dhoni’s Retirement
The Indian wicketkeeping conundrum has been lasting ever since MS Dhoni has been absent from the Indian team after the 2019 World Cup and a lot of wicketkeeper-batsman have been tried ever since.

Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Sanju Samson have all been tried for the spot as KL Rahul looks the permanent find for the slot in the Indian team for the wicketkeeper batsmen’s role. KL Rahul has been appointed the new vice-captain of the team in the limited-overs side and it will be difficult to replace him in the coming times.
