The stylish batsman feels that this win is special as it came while defending the score.
Setting up the score and then been able to defend it, has been India’s, Achilles Heel. However, the hosts were up to the mark in the all-important decider against the Windies at Wankhede as they successfully defended 240 runs. The Virat Kohli-led side won by a massive margin of 67 runs to seal the series by 2-1.
Rahul was at his best.

KL Rahul said in the post-match presentation, “You missed Virat also. Both of them (Rohit and Virat) were in a destructive mood today. Happy that we won the series and every game is important for us leading up to the T20 World Cup. It’s obvious that our batting first record hasn’t been that great. Today was a great opportunity and very happy that it came off. This will give a lot of confidence and now know what to do batting first. Each game will be important and a learning lesson for us before the World Cup. Like any other format, once you are set, you want to carry on and know what shots to play on. T20 has been kind and I try to do my best and give the results for the team”.
Rahul was at his best in the T20I series against the West Indies. The right-hander had also scored a handy knock of 62 runs in the first match at Hyderabad. The stylish batsman scored 164 runs in the three innings he played in the innings.
