#1. All-round performance in the 2008 Perth Test match.

Irfan Pathan produced an all-round performance in the iconic 2008 Perth Test match against Australia to hand India a 72-run win. Pathan scored a crucial knock of 28 runs in the first innings to help the visitors post a competitive score of 330 runs. Subsequently, Pathan was able to get the better of Australian openers, Phil Jacques and Chris Rogers in the first dig, to give a fine start to the tourists.
Pathan was then promoted as a night watchman in the second innings and scored an imperative knock of 46 runs to help India strengthen their overall lead. The left-arm pacer from Baroda once again got rid of the Australian openers early to push the hosts on the backfoot. Pathan also got the big wicket of Stuart Clark when the Australian pacer was threatening to take the game away with Mitchell Johnson.
No doubt, Irfan Pathan was awarded the Man of the match.
