Three Indian Players Who Ended Their Teammates' Careers 1

In a country of billions where thousands of youngsters work hard day in and day out to realize their dream of representing India, only a handful of them manages to achieve their dream.

Not surprising at all then that that handful of players are required to remain on their toes and perform consistently to retain in the national team.

But such is the demand for a place in the Indian team that even the proven campaigners have lost their places in the playing eleven. Their poor form coincided with other players’ good performances and consequently the former were replaced by the latter.

So here we are looking at 3 Indian players who were replaced by newcomers despite being a big name in the team:

3. Kedar Jadhav and Suresh Raina:

Suresh Raina was an indispensable part of India’s limited-overs team since making his comeback in 2008 but has fallen out of favor at the time. He last played an ODI in October 2015 during the five-match series against South Africa before getting dropped.

He was recalled for the ODI series against New Zealand in October last year but did not play a single game due to illness. The southpaw enjoyed a productive IPL but  Jadhav’s performance has kept him out of the frame. Moreover, Jadhav is also contributing immensely with his part-time bowling and Raina looks set to remain on the sidelines for a good period of time.
