Shreyas Iyer
Unlike Rahul, Iyer has a wealthy experience of captaining a team. He has been leading Delhi Capitals for two years now and has also led India A across formats. Apart from that, Iyer has also led his state Mumbai. He is a strong contender to lead Men in Blue if the new selection panel sees a future captain in him.

Iyer has been doing extremely well in ODIs at number four and is being backed to hold that position in T20Is as well. He is yet to gain team management’s confidence in the shortest format but will be backed to the hilt.
