Ishant Sharma
A veteran of 96 Test matches, Ishant has never been part of a World Cup squad. The right-arm pacer was not in contention for the 2011 World Cup. He was a part of the tri-series played in Australia just before World Cup 2015 but did not get a chance to bowl in the only washed-out match. Ishant made it to the 30-member squad but could not make the final cut.
He made a comeback for Australia tour in 2016 but hasn’t played any white-ball game since then. Ishant’s 13 wickets in IPL 2019 earned him a place on the standby list for World Cup 2019 but he did not travel with the team.
Unlike other Test specialists, Ishant seems to be satisfied by playing just one format and hasn’t spoken about wanting to make an ODI and T20I comeback for long. It is now unlikely that Ishant will get to play a World Cup.
