Three Senior Indian Players Who Never Played A 50-Over World Cup 2

Three out of four members of Team India’s fab-four played more than one World Cup but Laxman missed out on representing Men in Blue even once. He was pipped by Dinesh Mongia for a place in the squad in 2003. Laxman’s inability to score quick runs did go against him but the right-handed batsman looked a confirmed selection back then.

In 2018, the veteran batsman revealed it was shattering to miss out on getting selected for the tournament. Despite not playing a World Cup, Laxman played 86 ODIs with his final appearance coming against South Africa in 2006. Laxman had a successful red-ball career and scored 8781 runs at 45.97 in 134 Tests.
