India national cricket team will start the new year with the home series against Sri Lanka. The two teams will play three-match T20I series starting from Sunday (5 January) at Barsapara Cricket Ground, Guwahati.
India has good news that Jasprit Bumrah will also be part of this series. The pacer was out of the action for four months as he missed out on all the home series in this season because of the stress fracture at the lower back. Also, Rohit Sharma has taken rest in this series while Shikhar Dhawan is back in the team after recovering from the injury.
Talking about the game, India has always been dominant against Sri Lanka in the T20 matches. The T20I captain Lasith Malinga has not been much success in leading the team to victory. But some Sri Lankan players can create a problem for India.

3. Angelo Mathews:
The allrounder Angelo Mathews has been recalled to the T20I side after last played in the shortest format in August 2018. With the T20 World Cup lined up this year, Sri Lanka will hope Mathews to give his valuable contribution to the team with his experience.
The 32-year old has played 72 T20Is and scored 1055 runs and picked 37 wickets at 6.81. He has been a regular in ODIs and Test team. The former skipper will be a profitable asset for the faltering Sri Lankan team.
