After being trolled by some CPM supporters due to a misunderstanding, the former Australia cricketer and Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach Tom Moody has laughed off the incident.
According to the Times of India, the supporters sprung into action after International credit rating agency Moody’s upgraded India’s credit rating, with Narendra Modi-led government taking the credit for the highest ever rating Moody’s has accorded to India. However, the news did not go down well some who were referred to as CPM’s self-proclaimed ‘cyber army’ by the news outlet.

And instead of taking out their frustration on Moody’s, they took to Facebook to slam Tom Moody. One of the comments was:
“We communist party (CPM) understand you take commission from Modi and give good report. Shame, shame Moody. In 2019 election, you will see your Modi bite the dust, you ******* Moody.”
But at the same there were some who realised that the cricketer was wrongly targetted as one of them wrote:
“Dear comrades, please use decent language, Tom Moody is innocent and he never gave any rating to Modi govt. Lal Salam”

Well, Moody finally came to know about the whole incident and reacted in an appreciable manner, tweeting: “Thanks to all of you who have realise I don’t work in the finance ratings industry! #Moodys ?.”
