Gary Kirsten:

It’s been rumoured that 2011 World Cup-winning coach for Team India, Gary Kirsten has applied for the head coach role.
Back in 2008, former Proteas opening batsman Kirsten had replaced Greg Chappell as India’s head coach.

Kirsten has a vast experience in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He had coached Delhi Daredevils now as Capitals between 2014 and 2015.
Since 2018 he is serving as a chief coach for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) led by Team India skipper Virat Kohli.
