Lalchand Rajput:
The former Indian cricketer Lalchand Rajput had also applied for the high-profile position. Former Team India manager had played a crucial role in shaping up Zimbabwe team which has been banned for political interference, of late.
The 57-year-old Rajput has enough experience on his back. He had coached Afghanistan between 2016 and 2017 before serving Assam in the domestic fold.
