Dhoni, surely among an all time great in this format, got to the 9000 run mark recently against New Zealand at Mohali in October 2016. Being the legend he is, he brought the milestone up with a massive six straight down the ground. Dhoni, who is the evening of his career, now will look to add more to his aggregate tally now that he has relieved himself off the captaincy burden. Contribution wise though, he remains an integral part of India’s ODI team. Going into the Champions Trophy, his form will be extremely crucial.
