No elite record list about batting can be ever complete without this Trinidadian legend featuring in it. Lara, like his contemporaries who became greats, was a force to reckon with in the shorter format as he agonized the bowlers with his devastating batting. Lara got to the mark in 3 innings quicker than Ponting, and got it against Australia during the tri series in early 2005 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Lara’s ODI career eventually came to an end in the 2007 World Cup against England.
