With Kumar Sangakkara retiring from Test cricket, he will leave the game with many laurels. The left-handed batsman with 12350 runs in 133 Test is being considered as one of the great batsmen world has ever seen.

Sangakkara now has become the highest run contributor to his country- Sri Lanka. He is featured in a list which is comprised of great batsmen like Don Bradman.

The left-handed batsman is the highest run getter for his country, scored, 11 double hundred and 38 centuries for his team, he in his 15-year career made the highest contribution to Sri Lanka 17.7 percent.

For India, Sunil Gavaskar, who could pull and hook fearsome fast bowlers at ease during 1970’s and 1980’s. That was the time when West Indies bowlers dominated batsmen.
