Wesley Hall – 11/126 (West Indies):
Wesley Hall, the legendary fast bowler of the 1950’s, gave India a taste of true rip-roaring fast bowling when the Caribbean men toured India in 1958. The right arm fast bowler gave his most memorable performances of the tour in the 2nd Test of the series when he packed the hosts with spells of 6/50 and 5/76. His bowling effort combined with sold batting from Gary Sobers saw West Indies win the match by 103 runs. The match, however, is best remembered for leg spinner Subash Gupte’s near perfect spell of 9/102.
