Headley Verity – 11/153 (England):
Headley Verity was perhaps one of the best left arm spinner England ever produced. His bowling antics made him an inspiration for other great finger spinner like Jim Laker. Verity could produce match winnings performances for his team and was very well famous for being one of Bradman’s biggest trouble makers. So it was natural for a bowler of such a calibre to press his dominance over India when England arrived to India in 1934. The left spinner prove too tough for the Indians to counter and eventually ended up taking 11/153 which included figures of 7/49 and 4/104 in both innings. His performance paved the way for England to win the match pretty easily by 202 runs.
