Fazal Mahmood – 12/94 (Pakistan):
Pakistan thoroughly dominated India during the 2nd Test at the University Ground, Lucknow. The visitors saw no trouble in winning the match by an innings and 43 runs. The chief architect of the superb won was none other than Pakistan’s first fast bowling legend – Fazal Mahmood. In the first innings, Mahmood completely castled the Indians with his spell of 5/52 and wrapped up the innings for just 106. Pakistan batted well in the second innings and piled on a huge lead. India, unfortunately, could not recover from the first innings disaster as Mahmood continued to put impact, this time with a match winning spell of 7/42 – which saw India fold up for just 182.
