7. Greg Chappell: 4209 runs – Most Runs in Test Cricket

Greg Chappell captained Australia between 1975 and 1977 and then joined the breakaway World Series Cricket (WSC) organisation, before returning to the Australian captaincy in 1979, a position he held until his retirement 1984. Leading Australia in 48 Tests, he scored 4209 runs at an average of over 55. As a captain, he scored 13 centuries and 19 half-centuries. His highest score is 235.
