He captained the West Indies between 1974 and 1985. Leading West Indies in 74 Tests, Lloyd is one of the most successful Test captains of all time. As a captain he scored 5233 runs at an average of over 51. He scored 19 centuries and 35 half-centuries with 242* being his highest score.
