Top 10 countries with most number of ODI hundred

The ODI cricket is the most loved tournament when it invented to popularise the game on 5 June in 1971 at Melbourne Cricket Ground it was a 60 overs game. The game later started playing in 50 over which have become exciting. The format wooed by fans around the world. Batsman like Sachin Tendulkar is actually a product of ODI batting. Gusty batting, competition, and exciting matches are a regular part of ODI cricket. There are many crickets who scored plenty of hundred in this format.
Bangladesh: 35
The riverine nation started rising in international cricket. They got a young and talented team. Their batsman Mahmudulla has become the first Bangladesh batsman to score a hundred in the world cup in 2015. Mahmudulla scored two. Batsmen like Mohammad Ashraful (3), Tamim Iqbal (6) and Shakib ul Hassan (6) and now Mahmudulla(2) has scored a couple of hundred for them.
Zimbabwe: 57
In 1990’s Zimbabwe were a competitive team as a giant killer. They have batsmen like Andy Flower (4), Alistair Campbell (7), Brendan Taylor (8) who made them a strong team. They have upset many giants.
New Zealand: 110
The Black Caps have played the 2015 World Cup final for the first time in the history. They have many start batsmen who played the game with pride. Batsmen like Nathan Astle (16), Ross Taylor (15), Stephen Fleming (8).

They have played the first ever ODI match in 1971 against Australia. They have qualified for the final of World Cup thrice but never won the final. But have had some of the great cricketers who scored many runs for them. Batsmen like Marcus Trescothick (12), David Gower (7), Joe Root (8), Andrew Strauss (6) scored many hundred. But most of their cricketers’ career didn’t last long.
South Africa: 157
The African country’s rise in international started with their appearance in 1992 World Cup after the anti-apartheid era. Jacques Kallis (17),Gream Smith (10), Hashim Amla (22), and Herschelle Gibbs (21) and AB de Villiers (24), hold the most number of hundred for the country . However with many great cricketers in the team, they failed to win big tournaments hosted by ICC.
Sri Lanka 158
The Indian ocean Island rose in international in 1979 World Cup. But they have shown great interest in ODI format so they won the 1996 World Cup under the captaincy of Arjuna Ranatunga. Their most of the hundred scored by great likes Sanath Jayasuriya (28), Kumar Sangakkara (25), Mahela Jayawardene (19) and Upal Tharanga (13).
West Indies: 158
The West Indies to stands at fourth position their batting greats like Brian Lara (19), Chris Gayle (22), Viv Richards (11) and Shivnaire Chanderpaul (11). West Indies dominated cricket for twenty long years. They had won the first two world cups.
Pakistan: 172
The South East Asian country stands third in the list. Batting great like Inzamam ul Haq (10), Mohammad Yousuf (15) , Saeed Anwar (20) and Shahid Afridi (6). In the 1990s, they have become aginst in ODI cricket. They have the 1992 World Cup and has the great chance to win the 1999 World Cup final but they lost the match to Australia.
Australia: 193
They have been dominating the cricket since the 1990s and their modern batting greats like Adam Gilchrist (17), Mathew Hayden (10), Ricky Ponting (30) scored many hundred for their teams. Australia have many batting greats like Allan Border, Ian Chappell, Greg Chappell. But their successors scored much of the hundred for the country in ODIs.
India: 239
The biggest cricket country started playing the game on the international stage from 1932, during the time of colonial India. But India played the first ODI 40 decades later in 1974 on July 13 against England under the captaincy of Ajit Wadekar. India’s first ODI victory came against erstwhile East Africa, now Kenya, in the 1975 World Cup.
The first Indian batsman to score a hundred was Kapil Dev against Zimbabwe in the 1983 World Cup. Since then India ha scored the highest number of hundred in international cricket. The most number of hundred scored by legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar. H scored 49 ODI hundred. Sourav Ganguly scored 22 hundred while current start Virat Kohli scored 25 so far. Other notable contributors are Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid and Yuvraj Singh 15, 12 and 13 respectively.
