10. ROSS TAYLOR (NZ) : 38 SIXES

The New Zealand batsman is a difficult customer to stop when he is in full flow. Ross Taylor’s strength through the mid-wicket region is well documented, and has accounted for most of his 38 sixes as he occupies the 10th place in SPORTZWIKI’s Top 10 cricketers to hit maximum sixes in T20I.

9. MARLON SAMUELS (WI) : 39 SIXES

Is there any cricketer who strikes the ball as cleanly and sweetly as this powerhouse from Kingston, Jamaica? Marlon Samuels has enjoyed great success in the T20 format and his comfort levels against pace and spin like make him a dangerous weapon in the shorter format.

8. SHAHID AFRIDI (PAK) : 41 SIXES

Shahid Afridi has long been synonymous with ‘inconsistency’, so has he been with ‘destruction’. Afridi has 41 T20I sixes to his name, a large chunk of those in Pakistan’s T20 WC winning campaign in 2009 in England. And with Afridi getting back to his best with his sizzling performances in the Asia Cup, the alarm bells must be already ringing in the opposition camp.

7. CAMERON WHITE (AUS) : 43 SIXES

Another talented player who, at times, flatters to deceive, Cameron White’s heaves through the deep extra cover region are a thing of beauty. White has been a prolific performer in the T20 format with 43 T20I sixes to his name.

6. MARTIN GUPTILL (NZ) : 49 SIXES

Martin Guptill is one of the precious few to have scored a T20I century – a sparkling display of breathtaking hitting and unapologetic torture on the South African bowling line up at East London in 2012 as he helped himself to an unbeaten 101 off 69 balls. Guptill comes in at the 6th spot in SPORTZWIKI’s Top 10 cricketers to hit maximum sixes in T20I.

5. DAVID WARNER (AUS) : 57 SIXES

David Warner has the ideal game to succeed in the T20 format – the Southpaw has an extraordinary range of strokes through all corners of the cricket ground and has the knack of being able to execute the sensational, quite often cheeky strokes. With 57 sixes in T20 internationals, Warner is 5th in SPORTZWIKI’s Top 10 cricketers to hit maximum sixes in T20I.

4. YUVRAJ SINGH (IND) : 59 SIXES

59 sixes, with 6 of them scored in 1 Stuart Broad over that is still likely to continue as a Youtube sensation for generations to come! Yuvraj Singh was the architect of India’s T20 WC success in 2007 with match-winning knocks against England and later on, against Australia in the semi final when he smashed 70 off  just 30 balls.

3. CHRIS GAYLE (WI) : 64 SIXES

Chris Gayle’s stand-and-deliver method hasn’t won many admirers from the bowlers around the world. Usually, there is only one outcome when you pitch it up to his man. And that is not a pleasant sight for any bowler. Gayle is 3rd in SPORTZWIKI’s Top 10 cricketers to hit maximum sixes in T20I with 64 sixes.

2. SHANE WATSON (AUS) : 64 SIXES

Shane Watson, despite all his injury problems and struggles with the bat, remains a key player for Australia in the T20 format. Watson was crucial in Australia’s run to the final in the T20 World Cup in the Caribbean in 2010, and yet agains represents Australia’s best hope in 2014.

Anyone who witnessed the undefeated 158 off 72 against RCB in the inaugral match of the Indian Premier League will testify to the fact that Brendon McCullum has the ability to make some of the best bowling line-ups look ordinary. With a staggering 80 sixes in T2OI, McCullum takes the 1st place in SPORTZWIKI’s Top 10 cricketers to hit maximum sixes in T20I.
