The South African hard-hitter plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL. de Villiers was born in Pretoria, Transvaal Province, South Africa on 17 February 1984. He mainly plays as a wicket-keeper batsman for his national team as well as clubs and well known for his improvised tactical batting.
AB de Villiers made his Test debut for South Africa National Team on 17 December 2004, in a match against England. His ODI debut was also against England on 2 February 2005.
