Top 10 highest individual scores in IPL

With 7 seasons in the IPL completed so far there have been some excellent performances by some talented Indian and international players. With so much T-20 being played with short boundaries in Indiathey have shown their talent to the World.

1. Chris Gayle

Chris Gayle is the highest scorer of IPL history. He scored a breathtaking 175 off 66 balls and remained unbeaten. This match was played at the Chinaswamy Stadium at Bangalore on the 23^rd April 2013. He made this score against Pune Warriors India. During his innings of 175 he hit 13 fours and 17 huge sixes with the strike rate of 265.15. He just smashed the bowling and created havoc in the mind of the bowlers. Because of his innings Bangalore reached a massive total of 263.

2. Brendon McCullum

Brendon McCullum is the second highest scorer in IPL. He scored 158 off 73 and played the entire innings. This was the first match of the IPL history and was played at the Chinaswamy Stadium at Bangalore on the 18^th April 2008. He made this score playing for Kolkata Knight Riders against Royal Challengers Bangalore. During his 158 runs innings he hit 10 fours and 13 sixes with strike rate of 216.43. He just set the tone of the tournament with his brilliant knock. Due to his innings Kolkata Knight Riders made 222.

3. Chris Gayle

Chris Gayle comes again in the list of highest indidvual scorer in IPL. He scored 128 off 62 balls and remained not out. This match was played at the Feroshah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi on the 17^th May 2012. He made this scored playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore against Delhi Daredevils. During his 128 innings he hit 7 fours and 13 sixes with the strike rate of 206.45. Due to his innings Royal Challengers Bangalore made a massive 215.

4.  Murali Vijay

Murali Vijay is the fourth highest indidvual scorer in IPL. He scored 127 off 56 balls. This match was played at the Chidmbram Stadium at Chennai on the 3 April 2010. He made the score for Chennai Super Kings against Rajasthan Royals. During his 127 runs he hit 8 fours and 11 sixes with the strike rate of 226.78. Due to his innings Chennai reached a massive total of 246.

5. Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag is the 5^th indidvual scorer in IPL. He scored 122 off 58 balls. This match was played at the Wankedhe Stadium, Mumbai on the 30 May 2014. He made the score for Kings XI Punjab against Chennai Super Kings. During his innings of 122 he hit 12 fours and 8 sixes with strike rate of 210.34. Because of his innings Kings XI Punjab scored a massive 226. This was the knockout match which Kings XI Punjab won.

6.  Paul Valthaty

Paul Valthaty is another cricketer with highest indidvual scorer in IPL. He scored 120 off 63 balls and remained not out. This match was played the PCA Stadium at Mohali on the 13 April 2011. He made this score for Kings XI Punjab against Chennai Super Kings. During his not out innings he hit 19 fours and 2 sixes with the strike rate of 190.47. Because of his innings Kings XI Punjab chased down the score of 188. 

7.  Virender Sehwag

Virender comes again in the list for highest indiduvual score in IPL. He scored 119 off 56 balls. This match was played at Rajiv Gandhi Uppal Stadium at Hyderbad on the 5^th May 2011. He made this score for Delhi Daredevils against Deccan Chargers. During his innings he hit 13 fours and 6 sixes with the strike rate of 212.50. Due to his innings Delhi reached a competitive total of 175

8. Andrew Symonds

Andrew Symonds is 8^th in the list of highest indiduvual scorer in IPL. He scored 117 off 53 balls and played throughout the innings. This match was played at the Rajiv Gandhi Uppal Stadium at Hyderabad on the 24 April 2008. He made this score for Deccan Chargers against Rajasthan Royals. During his innings of 117 he hit 11 fours and 7 sixes with the strike rate of 220.75. Due to his innings Deccan Chargers scored a massive 214.

9. Mike Hussey

The left handed batsman from Australia is 9^th in the list of highest indidvual scorer in IPL. He scored 116 off 54 balls and played the entire innings. This match was played at the PCA Stadium at Mohali on the 19 April 2008. He made this score for Chennai Super Kings against Kings XI Punjab. During his innings he hit 8 fours and 9 sixes with the strike rate of 214.81. Due to his innings Chennai scored 240. 

     10. Wriddhiman saha 

Wriddhiman Saha is an Indian wicketkeeper who played exceptional well in IPL and comes at the last in terms of highest indidvual scorer. This match was played at the Chinaswamy Stadium at Bangalore on the 1^st June 2014. He played an excellent knock of 115 off 55 balls in the finals of IPL and remained unbeaten. He made this score for Kings XI Punjab against Kolkatta Knight Riders. During his 115 innings he hit 10 fours and 8 sixes with the strike rate 209.09. Due to his innings Punjab reached a total 199 but could not defend the total.
