9. England: 230/8 vs South Africa (2016): Highest team totals in T20
After losing the first match in World T20 2016, England were looking down the barrel once again against South Africa after conceding 229 runs. However, the English team surprised everyone when they chased down the total with two balls remaining. Jason Roy scored a quickfire 43 at the top and Joe Root then scored 87 to take his team home. It was the second-highest successful chase in T20 internationals and the highest in World T20 history.
