Sri Lanka rendered Bangladesh bowlers completely ineffective and put up a match-winning total of 302/8 at the PCA Stadium, Mohali in 2006. Opener Upul Tharanga led the proceedings with a fabulous century, contributing 105 from 139 deliveries. The rest of the batting order also made handy contributions but none of them was distinctive. Sanath Jayasuriya (31), Jayawardene (35) and Kumar Sangakkara (22) ensured that there was stability during the innings but failed to convert the t starts. Marva Atapattu (40) also made his presence felt before T. Dilshan boosted the scoreboard with a breezy 26 from 22 balls.
