New Zealand vs Australia – Hamilton, 3rd ODI – 20th of February 2007:

In 2007, the Black Caps had registered a clean sweep over Australia at Hamilton following an exciting finish to the game. During the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy, even though Australia were playing without their major players but they had enough in the store to make things happen.
At Hamilton, Australia set the target of 347 against Black Caps with opening batsman Matthew Hayden remaining not out on 181 off 166 deliveries.
In reply, Kiwis derailed in the run chase as they were 41 for four in 9.1 overs. However, Peter Fulton had played some big shots to slam a fifty.
At one stage Kiwis were, 116 for five, when Brendon McCullum and Craig McMillan set up things. McMillan reached the 100-run mark off 67 balls.
Before scoring 117, McMillan saw his team needing 52-ball 66 with four wickets in hand. However, despite two quick wickets, Mark Gillespie’s 15-ball 28-run cameo saw Kiwis required seven before McCullum dispatched the ball into the stands to level the score. He further found a fence on the third delivery of the 50th over to seal the deal for Kiwis.
