A ‘Man of the Series’ award is given to that player after the conclusion of a particular series to honour his standout contribution throughout the entire contest. By series we mean, all the three cricketing formats, The Tests, ODIs and T20s. This means that the specific cricketer has been consistently performing for his team, with his batting or bowling abilities or both combined and has been successful in producing performances which has made the difference between the two teams.
Many great cricketers have been named the player of the series owing to their essential contribution that they enacted in the series.
An interesting fact about the list is that most of them are renowned batsmen, who at some time point of the other have taken the cricketing fraternity by storm. In short, legends occupy the highest rungs in this elite list. Good news for the Indians as four of the greatest players of the nation are in the top 10 of the list. And in a shocking turn of events , there are no English players present in the list!
