One of Zimbabwe’s precious player Tatenda Taibu has broken all the myths of short height people. During his international career as the wicketkeeper-batsman, the 5.5ft tall was crucial for his country. He was handed over the responsibility of vice-captain in 2003 when he was just 19-year-old. In 2004, he became the captain after replacing Heath Streak.

It was shocking to all when he announced resignation as captain and the retirement from cricket in 2005. He decided to play for South Africa but the situation didn’t help the player. He returned to the Zimbabwe cricket in 2007. Finally, he announced retirement from international cricket in 2012.
The player has played 28 Test matches, 150 ODIs and 17 T20Is. He has scored more than 5,000 runs in international cricket.
