West Indies left-handed batsman Alvin Kallicharran played 66 Test matches and 31 ODIs. His understanding of pitch, conventional shots and balance in his game had made him popular in the cricket. He is 5.4ft in height which was never a drawback for his success. With ease, he faced every bowler.
Notably, he was one of the shortest cricketers to have played the game of cricket. In 66 Test matches, he scored 4339 runs at an average of 44.43. He also led West Indies between 1977–1978 when Clive Lloyd resigned over the Packer issue.
