Bruce Reid was a lofty left-arm pacer from Australia. Bruce had the ability to straighten the ball into the right-hander as well as slant it away to some extent, which made him the spearhead of the Australian bowling unit during his time. Being very slim build he frequently suffered from injuries which ultimately resulted at an end of his career. After retiring Bruce came into limelight when he was the bowling coach of the Indian team which went to Australia in 2003 as his vital contribution helped Indian level the test series 1-1. He is also among the tallest cricketers in the world.
