The fastest ODI century against the Windies
De Villiers broke the record of Corey Anderson for the fastest century in ODI cricket.
The powerful striker of the ball recorded the quickest ton in just 31 deliveries against the Windies in Jo’burg. It was carnage on display by Mr 360, as he kept smacking the Windies bowlers all around the stadium.
It was sublime hitting, to say the least, He played all over the ground and smashed as many as 16 sixes and nine fours during his exceptional knock.
Some of the shots executed by him on that day were outrageous. He scored 149 off 44 depositing the bowlers over the boundary ropes. His innings helped set a target of 440. They ended up winning by 148 runs.
