Shai Hope (WI):

West Indies’ ODI opener, Shai Hope has had a tremendous tour to India during the recently concluded three-match ODI series. By the end of the series, the wicketkeeper-batsman emerged as the second-highest run-scorer with a total of 222 runs. Hope played impeccable innings in the victorious series opener in Chennai where he scored 102 not out from 150 balls.
Meanwhile, he scored 78 runs in the second ODI and 42 runs in the series decider in Cuttack. Nevertheless, Windies ended up losing the series to the newfound consistency in the middle and the lower order of the Indian national cricket team.
However, this series has definitely helped him notch up his game in the international cricket arena and now he is ranked under the top ten rankings of ODI batting. And not just this, the 26-years-old right-hander ended up right behind the Indian skipper Virat Kohli in the list of the top five cricketers to score most ODI runs this year.
Hope scored 1,345 runs in 28 ODI contests with four centuries and eight half-centuries.
