With the high octane brand of cricket we witness these days, batting collapses have become seemingly rare as cricket has become all about the batsmen. Big bats, small boundaries, fielding restrictions and innovative shots. Bowler dominated ODIs or T20s are termed as boring and nobody wants to pay for the bowlers anymore, but back in time things were different. There was a balance between bat and bowl.

It was an ODI match between Srilanka and West Indies in which West Indies had scored a solid total of 248 runs in 45 overs. Srilankan’s started off Nicely scoring 22 runs in 5 overs.Kuruppu got dismissed run out while the score was still with 22 runs followed by Mahanama but Sri Lanka managed to recover from that scoring 45 from 2 runs. Then Walsh and Roger Harper came to bowl and rest was history. Walsh demolished the Sri Lankan from 45 for 2 to 55 all out. It was their lowest total and West Indies won easily by 193
runs.
