5. Craig McMillan and Brendon McCullum (New Zealand) – 165 runs
This match was played at Hamilton on Feb 20, 2007. The two teams were Australia and New Zealand. Australia played a great innings and gave defendable score to the New Zealand. The target for New Zealand was 347 runs. At first, it looked impossible because the top order went out early without scoring significant runs. But then came these two and gave some hope. And thanks to them, New Zealand won by 1 wicket. McMillan and McCullum scored 165 runs in partnership. The contribution of McMillan was 98 runs and of McCullum was 56 runs. Their partnership run rate was 6.73.
4. Michael Hussey and Brad Haddin (Australia) – 165 runs
This match was played at Kuala Lumpur, Sep 18, 2006. The two team were Australia and West Indies. It was the 4th match of the DLF Cup. The top-order of Australia was very poor in this match and all the responsibility was on these two’s shoulders. They tried their best to set a defendable score but it was not enough to stop the West Indies. Austraila scored 272 runs out of which 165 was of these two men. This match was played at Chennai, Jun 10, 2007. The two teams were Asia XI and Africa XI. The match was very competitive but the main hero were Mahela Jayawardene and MS Dhoni. These two scored 218 runs in partnership. Mahela Jayawardene scored 107 runs and MS Dhoni scored 139 runs. From the 218 runs 102 runs came from Jayawardene‘s bat and 103 from Dhoni’s. Grant Elliott and Luke Ronchi made history on January 23, 2015. Today they marked their names in the books as they scored the highest 6th wicket partnership. 23rd January 2015 will be remembered for a long time. Both the batsmen were not out and provided the win for their team. Grant Elliott scored 104 runs and Luke Ronchi scored 170 runs. From the 267 runs, 95 came from Elliott’s bat and 170 from Ronchi’s. Both these batsmen were at their best. Thanks to them, New Zealand scored 360 runs and won by 108 run against Sri Lanka.
