3. Navjot Singh Sidhu – 491 balls v West Indies- 1997, Port of Spain:

Against a bowling lineup boasting of Courtney Walsh and Curtly Ambrose, India had their back against the wall when their makeshift opener VVS Laxman departed for a two-ball duck. Although West Indies had scored only 296 in the first innings, their bowling lineup was strong enough to make up for it. However, after Laxman’s departure, the visitors led by Sidhu’s sublime knock displayed a brilliant batting performance and scored 436.
Sidhu scored 201 off 491 balls before being bowled by Ambrose. The match went on to end in a draw.
