4. 2007: Scored a century against England
Batting first, India posted a huge total of 664 runs in the third test against England in 2007. While Karthik (91), Tendulkar (82) and Dhoni (92) all got good start none of them converted into a hundred. However, Anil Kumble displayed remarkable discipline and patience with the bat to bring up his maiden test century. In fact, that was the only century by an Indian player on that famous tour.
