Aniket Choudary – 2 Crores (Royal Challengers Bangalore):
Aniket Choudary, the lanky fast bowler, whose bowling action resembles that of Australian fast bowling spearhead Mitchell Starc, was a great surprise pick. He was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore and will join Tymal Mills in the bowling department. RCB, ironically, now have two quality left-arm fast bowlers to fill the place of Starc who made himself unavailable ahead of the season due to packed international schedule. Aniket gained media attention after he was called up to bowl for the Indian team before the start of the recent home series against Australia. Last week, it was reported that the Indian management called him to bowl to the Indian batsmen in the nets in order to help them counter the threat of Mitchell Starc. He also was a part of the net bowlers who bowled at the Indian team during the New Zealand series, before the Kanpur and Kolkata Tests, to help Virat Kohli and co. counter Trent Boult’s swing.
