2. India (November 2009-August 2011):
The Indian team reached the top of Test cricket for the first time when they defeated Sri Lanka 2-0 in 2009. The phase witnessed the golden generation of Indian cricket as the Indian team not only dominated the Test arena but were crowned world champions in ODIs too. However, their reign at the top in Test cricket ended with a disastrous 4-0 defeat in England.
