An astonishing 589 wickets at an incredible average of 19.69 and economy of just over 2, Shivalkar was arguably one of the greatest spinners not to represent India. His ability to pitch the ball in the same area for a long period of time made him one of the dangerous spinners of his time but with the Indian team brimming with quality spinners, Shivalkar’s dream of donning the Indian jersey was never fulfilled.
