1. Amol Mazumdar:
One more batsman who had to suffer because he was born in an era that was dominated by the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid. He scored 260 runs on his Ranji Trophy debut and went on to become one of the greatest players of the country’s premier tournament. He scored 10, 208 first-class runs at an average of 47.47 with 25 hundreds but was never considered by the national selectors.
